Shipping Methods

Our sleeping bags are not stuffed until an order is received. This process, which includes filling, sewing chambers closed and tagging can take up to 3 days.  Thus orders will be shipped 3-5 business days after placing your order. Tracking information will be emailed to you once it has been assigned to your package. Orders returned because the package was unclaimed, refused, or third party fees were unpaid will not be refunded shipping costs and handling charges may apply.

Shipping within the USA is typically 4-6 day service to most states from California and usually $15-$30.  We currently use UPS Ground and the United States Postal Service (USPS) for domestic shipments. For orders shipping to PO Boxes, APOs, Alaska, and Hawaii, we use USPS exclusively.

We do not ship internationally. Please see our dealer list to find an international dealer.


Returns & Exchanges

We create our gear to last a lifetime, and we think you should love your gear! If for some reason you’re not happy with your purchase, you may return new, unused gear purchased through our website for a full refund or exchange.

Returns and exchanges of items that were purchased through westernmountaineering.com are accepted within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. The product must be clean and unused with all sewn labels and the sewn-in law tag uncut, in new condition and still attached to the foot of the sleeping bag. We cannot accept products back if they have strong odors from exposure to smoke After 30 days of receipt, all sales are final. Shipping expenses will not be refunded on returns or exchanges. If we shipped an incorrect item we will cover shipping expenses or send a return label. For returns/exchanges purchased through our dealers please contact the original place of purchase.

How do I return/exchange my Western Mountaineering product?

Returns/exchanges directly back to Western Mountaineering are only eligible for products purchase on this website. If you purchased your item through one of our dealers, please contact that store for their return/exchange policy. If you purchased from our website and would like to return/exchange, please email support@westernmountaineering.com with your name, original order #, and reason for returning/exchanging. Please make sure the item(s) are in new condition and unused, with all original components (stuff sack, storage bag, etc.).

What is covered under warranty?

Western Mountaineering offers a manufacturer lifetime warranty. This means that any defect caused by manufacturer error is completely covered. This does not cover wear and tear or misuse. For example a rip from use in the field is not covered, but a broken stitch is covered. Click here for more detail on our warranty.


Order Cancellation

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at orders@westernmountaineering.com. If the order has already shipped, shipping and return costs will not be refunded.
